About Green Man Gaming

Green Man Gaming is a multi-award-winning eCommerce platform, publisher, digital partner and technology business in the video games industry. We work with almost all of the world’s best gaming brands and sell games to millions of customers world-wide.

Leveraging our market leading, patented technology platform and our relationship with 1,000 game IP holders, Green Man Gaming is going to be launching a Digital Distribution business. This will enable global eCommerce retailers to access a rich variety of games from multiple platforms instantly via a leading edge API. For publishers the platform will offer a single point of access to pre-approved retailers with sophisticated real time reporting and cross platform market intelligence.

Role Overview

We are experts at games eCommerce, digital marketing, publishing and distribution and as such have identified an opportunity to monetise these services to our current and generated pipeline of clients.

You are an ambitious, highly entrepreneurial, and commercially minded business leader able to drive the Digital Distribution business unit to the most profitable direction while also implementing its long term goals. You are a prolific networker and able to build an active sales pipeline from prospect to client. This role relies on a high level of resilience and commercial acumen. You are a natural business and people leader, working closely with technologists and understanding the digital markets inside out.

You will be leading our Digital Distribution business, nurturing and owning your own P&L, responsible for leading a team and managing all aspects of the platform and commercial relationships. Supported by the most successful eCommerce business in the industry, this is a unique opportunity for someone with leadership and entrepreneurial qualities to make a real difference in the market. You have experience and a good understanding of the digital distribution arena and a strategic view on migration from physical to digital distribution in the games industry.

As EVP Digital Distribution, you will execute and deliver significant incremental revenue and growth, by packaging, positioning and presenting digital distribution services to existing and new partners.

Finally, as a key member of the senior management team you will help shape Green Man Gaming’s digital strategy in the Games Industry going forward.

Requirements

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • DIGITAL DISTRBUTION BUSINESS STRATEGY & EXECUTION Reporting into the CEO, you own the entire Digital Distribution business, globally. You will represent Green Man Gaming with integrity and knowledge, acting as a resource for our current and future business partners. You can harness data to present and build compelling proposals including defining and driving the milestones needed to achieve commercial goals.
  • MARKET & CONSUMER UNDERSTANDING You love games, you love the people that make them, you love the people that play them. You harness this insight to support your strategy, accelerate progress and clear roadblocks.
  • COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITY It's your train set. You own the commercial forecast and P&L for Digital Distribution, you can spot secure and lead your team to close opportunities.

WE NEED

  • GAMES INDUSTRY AND RETAIL KNOWLEDGE You are well connected, and well respected in the industry. You have an in-depth (and hands on) understanding of our industry in particular digital distribution, and the digital ecosystems in your region.
  • COMMERCIAL ACUMEN You are entrepreneurial and have a commercial mindset. By building new relationships with partners you can identify opportunities, close it and drive upside.
  • COMMUNICATION You will need to be extremely confident, a clear communicator & presenter, comfortable with internal & external stakeholder management & can provide regular updates and presentations to senior management.
  • CONTRACTS AND LICENCING You can negotiate deals, find your way around a contract and ideally understand the world licensing and royalties.
  • INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE You have global experience, and connection with decision makers and retailers.
  • ORGANISED You are happy working independently and willing to roll your sleeves up if needed, you can prioritize effectively across a wide set of workstreams and deliver flexibly to tight deadlines where necessary.
