Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience sourcing and managing partners to create successful relationships and business outcomes.
  • Experience creating and executing against a pipeline.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or similar advanced degree.
  • Experience in the creation, sales, or distribution of mobile games at a market provider.
  • Knowledge of the mobile games market, standards, business models, sales channels and competitive landscape.
  • Passion for mobile technology and mobile games.
  • Excellent attention to detail, highly entrepreneurial, creative and collaborative, and passion for Google products.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to formulate and articulate contractual, technical, financial and value points with partners and internal Google teams.

The Play Games Business Development team develops relationships with a range of organizations, from game developers and startups to large publishers, and works with them to build great games, and finds ways for them to reach their audiences and grow their digital businesses. From joint design and solving technical problems for partners, to developing business models and distributing games globally, we provide the full lifecycle of support for partners. With your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you'll be right on the front line, helping developers to grow their business on Android by consulting on quality, engagement and improvements, and Go-to-Market strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize the partner portfolio, with specific, measurable and achievable/stretch goals to grow partners' businesses.
  • Consult and get buy-in with partners on Google and industry best practices to grow their business.
  • Provide input on merchandising partner’s games, and work closely with them to ensure their games meet the requirements for promotion.
  • Stay up to date on latest developments within mobile technology and game development through research, attending/speaking at events, meeting with influencers etc. and provide feedback on features and business models to Product/Engineering teams.
