We have just started our AAA project and are looking for a Lead Game Designer to take football games to a new level. This is a rare opportunity to design a game in a new studio, with genuine ambitions. Our mission is to give the power back to the players and build a game which rewards play to earn and skills rather than pay to win and catch up mechanics. We want to unlock a world for people to play with each other without technical limitations as well as being able to make a living off of the game.

As the Lead Game Designer, you will be responsible for creating the design platform and help the development team to understand and align on goals and ideas. You will manage the detailed design work by mapping out the different elements of designing the game, converting concepts to play. You will lead the game and player design involving leagues, teams, abilities, physics, mechanics, cameras and more. To make it happen, you will collaborate with your team of fellow designers, coders, artists and animators.

To succeed in this role, we think you have both played and released many different games in various genres, game modes and on different platforms. To make this game great, you need to have a solid understanding of games and appreciate insight from the community in order to pinpoint differences, similarities and what is missing between games and platforms. We see it as vital for you to decide when an idea is working or not, even if you have invested a lot of time and effort in it. We believe that you are driven by researching and refining ideas into robust and buildable systems. It is therefore important that you combine your and your team's ideas and see them through from prototype to gameplay. It is all about translating the desired player feeling into systems and producing it.

As a person, you pay attention to all elements of a game and that they should work seamlessly together and make sense for the player. We believe that sharing the same vision with the development team and giving room for creativity and fun is crucial for the team to produce a high quality game. This is why we think you need to be a savvy communicator and a great team player for welcoming and choosing the best ideas.

As Lead Game Designer you are a true leader with strong interpersonal skills. You are committed to giving your team members the tools to succeed and prosper. An essential component is creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
