At Glu Orlando, we are seeking a Production Intern to work with our small (< 12 people) yet highly experienced development team to become someone responsible for helping drive day to day creative work that keeps our team operating smoothly and our fans enjoying new content daily.

Responsibilities

  • Organization – Our team moves fast and we need an organized Production Intern that can stay on top of creating and maintaining documentation, requirements, and specs in a rapidly changing environment so that all departments can stay in the loop.
  • Release Planning – Our team releases content at a rapid pace, and the Production Intern helps maintain alignment across all departments
  • Messaging – the Production Intern drafts in-game messaging that keeps our players informed about new events, content, and promotions currently in the game.
  • Feature Design – Our Producers work with the members of their team to create features that our players will enjoy
  • Quality Control – The production intern also works with the QA team to make sure features are working as intended and prioritizes bug fixes
  • Learn Quickly – Joining a small yet experienced veteran game development team like Glu Orlando will afford the Production Intern a ton of opportunity to grow in a multitude of roles. You can learn many faces of development at a rapid pace and own many more areas of the game than you would at traditional larger game companies.

Qualifications

  • Communication Skills – we’re looking for candidates who can easily speak their minds to a group as well as someone who is comfortable and has experience in writing design documents and specs
  • Knowledge of mobile games and how monetization of free to play gaming works
  • Be comfortable with game development – JIRA, Excel, and sometimes Unity are commonly used tools in this position, though any other game dev / tool experience is a bonus!
  • Be passionate about games – We are looking for people who play games and understand why they love playing them (and why they don’t)
  • Creative and collaborative – A friendly and open nature and an active and curious mind fit in well with us
  • Being interested in fishing is a plus…but not a requirement!
