About Ginx TV

We are an ‘early stage’ company based on a small industrial campus between London’s King’s Cross and Camden. Our channel, GINX Esports TV, is dedicated to the world of esports and we broadcast entertainment shows as well as live esports tournaments from around the world. In total there are about 30 of us. The channel is distributed to over 55 million households worldwide and is pioneering the concept of bringing esports to mainstream TV audiences.

The Role

Our production team is made up of young esports enthusiasts who produce, edit and package most of our content. We are now looking to recruit a producer to work on our daily half hour live news show and it’s off-shoot 60-second bulletins, as well as the production of weekend live event coverage and a studio-based entertainment show. We are an early-stage company and as such the role will be multi-faceted and very hands-on. You’ll feel just as comfortable leading the gallery, setting up the studio, sitting in the producer’s chair during live shows, as well as jumping onto photoshop to create a title sequence and helping with set design.

The role we are looking to fill is of an assistant producer of which the main responsability will be editing our long and short form productions in addition to ad-hoc projects such as promos. We are ideally looking for someone with a track record in editing content for tlevision, social and digital. Cross-platform content creation is core to our proposition. The role requires a good working knowledge of the adobe creative suite with emphasis on Premiere and ideally some After Effects. While our APs do occasionally work on shoots (filming/producing) the main focus of their role within Ginx is to edit and support the flow of content. This role would best be suited for an assistant editor looking to step up or full time editor who would like to round out his or her skillset.

Responsibilities

  • Edit pre-produced formats using the adobe creative suite.
  • Assist the producers in the entire production process.
  • Learning various production processes within Ginx including Live Production output techniques.
  • Occasionally work on live productions as part of the live gallery team.
  • posting social and digital only content in addition to editing pre-produced materials for traditional broadcast.
  • Ensuring that all edited materials are up to broadcast standards (both visually as well as auditory)
  • Ensuring all edited material abides to Ofcom regulations in addition to any international broadcast standards that our partners may request.
  • Using editorial judgement to select music tracks and fill in music cue sheets

Desirable Attributes

  • A knowledge of the esports and gaming industry
  • An understanding of traditional sports television productions
  • An understanding of our target demographic (21-35 males/females)
