Role overview
We are looking for a creative and experienced video editor & storyteller, with a passion for esports and gaming, to work with our social media team to create unique video content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & more. Either based out of Manchester (UK), or willing to relocate.
As a Social Video Creative, you will be responsible for scripting & editing news-style videos with on-screen text, from "on this day" stories to spotlight videos highlighting impressive & creative people or moments within the esports and gaming worlds.
You will also work closely with the Social Media Manager & Social Media Executives to create content together, with their planning and ideas combined with yours, piecing the videos together bit by bit to create unique content for our engaged audience.
Reporting Structure
You will report to the Social Media Manager.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing & researching interesting stories that fit into our planned video formats.
- Refining video format ideas & creating new format ideas with the team.
- Excellent storytelling skills.
- Strong video editing skills and experience using Adobe Premiere Pro.
Key Department Skillset
- Proven working experience in a video editing or content creation role.
- Knowledge of gaming & esports - Key titles include; Call of Duty, CSGO, Overwatch, Rocket League.
- The ability to multitask
- Ability to follow strict deadlines
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, digital editing, web search)
- Excellent communication skills
- Good observation and deduction skills
- Integrity and morality
- Be flexible with working hours, as per the business needs, such as working evenings and weekends
