A little bit about the role...
We are looking for an experienced SEO Manager, with a passion for gaming, to lead our SEO efforts based out of Manchester (UK).
As the SEO Manager, you will be responsible for GGRecon’s SEO efforts across every angle of the business, including on site and on YouTube. Creating, developing, and executing the SEO multi-platform strategy.
The ideal candidate will work mainly with the Head of Editorial, but also the Trending News Editor, Sub-Editor and Video Production Manager to consult on content, meet deadlines, and overall grow GGRecon’s organic reach.
What you'll be doing...
- Developing and implementing SEO strategies
- Handing over keyword research to the Editorial team to produce industry leading content
- Optimise website content including news and feature pieces
- Monitor and optimise core page rankings
- Direct off page optimisation projects (Including link building)
- Collect and report on traffic, rankings, and other SEO aspects
Must haves...
- Previous experience as an SEO manager or similar role
- Knowledge of standard and current SEO practices
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with SEO reporting
- Familiar with relevant SEO tools
- Familiar with schema.org and its implementation
- Experience using web analytics tools including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager
- An analytical mindset
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion for gaming
- (Desirable but not essential) Experience with affiliation and monetisation
