A little bit about the role…

We are looking for an experienced Head of Partnerships, with a passion for gaming to lead, optimise, and deliver our commercial strategy. Based out of Manchester (UK), or willing to relocate.

As Head of Partnerships, you will be responsible for managing all sales efforts, including outreach to potential clients, building a commercial portfolio, and managing all onboarded client relationships.

The ideal candidate will work with senior management and inhouse content teams to provide complete alignment and discuss all ongoing partnership opportunities, with all teams assisting in content ideation to delivery, ensuring all partner expectations are exceeded.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Maximising revenues through new business development initiatives, including account management
  • Work with senior management to continuously optimise and adapt the commercial strategy to meet market demands
  • Secure regular client meetings, owning the sales cycle from analysis to delivery, including long term partnership management
  • Exceed pre-agreed targets for number of client meetings per week and revenue targets
  • Negotiate agreements that fully maximise the profitability of the long-term relationship with third parties
  • Develop a strategic approach with the Managing Director to building the roster of our new accounts and devise effective sales strategies to identify larger opportunities
  • Work with the Head of Operations and relevant content team(s) to discuss ideas for prospective branded partnerships
  • Actively participate in major industry events and conferences
  • Provide weekly updates to the senior management team on the position of potential partnerships, results of ongoing content deals, and revenue updates
  • Identify and understand a brands’ challenges within the esports and gaming space, and create briefs aimed to provide creative solutions
  • Be the port of contact and ambassador for partners

Must haves…

  • 3+ years previous experience in Partnerships, Sales, Account Management, or a similar role with a proven track record of success
  • Experience building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Knowledge of standard and current sales practices, but willing to push the boundaries to create new practices
  • Experience with reporting to business stakeholders
  • A basic knowledge of using analytics tools including Google Analytics
  • Ability to succeed in a start-up environment where nothing comes easy
  • Tech-savvy, resourceful, entrepreneurial, endlessly curious, and highly ambitious. Strong listening, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills with superior overall presentation skills
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills with the ability to build sales decks and media plans
  • A passion for gaming
