GGLeagues is a social gaming league that provides the infrastructure to empower communities through video games. Our League Managers form the foundation of what we do here at GGLeagues.
As a video game enthusiast, you will be at the ground level managing and setting up our online esports leagues on game day and interacting with players.
This requires organization, a love of people, excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as teamwork/collaboration.
The most important characteristic of League Managers is that they love interacting with people. League Managers are expected to represent GGLeagues and our values to provide an enjoyable experience. We are a social gaming league where anyone can come together to build relationships, play the game they love, and compete in a friendly setting.
As a League Manager, you will be responsible for setting up and managing all of our online leagues. A typical day might include:
- Communicating and informing customers of their league set up and process
- Managing a team of referees
- Refereeing match if needed
- Updating match scores, forfeits, and any roster changes
- Setting up playoff brackets
- Fielding questions from players regarding rules in the league
- Meeting with the CEO or COO on how to recruit more teams into GGLeagues
- Brainstorming with fellow GGLeague Teammates on ideas to make GGLeagues better
- Coordinating any live in-person or online finals
- Beating down the CEO in a few Super Smash Bro or Rocket League matches
