We are looking for a Mobile Gaming Editor to join the Gfinity Esports team to lead a team writing news, guides & features on the mobile gaming sector.

Ideally, you are someone who lives and breathes mobile games, already follows industry trends and has experience covering games for online publications. Due to our continuous growth, we would like you to be quite flexible, able to spot opportunities and create detailed content that speaks to the Mobile Gaming audience, no matter where they are based.

You will work closely with an experienced in-house team across both editorial and social to make sure your content is seen by as many people as possible.

It goes without saying, you are passionate about the gaming industry and you will teach us a thing or two too while adding value to our existing team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working with the in-house editorial team to develop & execute a mobile gaming content strategy
  • Ensure all output is to the highest standard and optimised for user experience
  • Continually look to innovate and diversify content opening new user-acquisition opportunities in the mobile gaming sector
  • Working with the design & social teams to constantly develop and champion new ideas around mobile gaming on site and on across social
  • Constantly thinking ahead around new ways to cover mobile games and drive users to the site
  • Performing other tasks across the brand's digital platforms and events programme where necessary

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of SEO and how to spot an angle for a gaming story
  • Excellent written and verbal communication - experience writing about games is a must
  • Able to work fast and efficiently - reacting quickly to changes and breaking developments
  • Broad knowledge of the entire mobile gaming industry is a bonus (able to cover game news even if never played a game)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A people person! Communication is key working remote - candidate must be able to keep comms up and give/take directions well
  • Able to be fully flexible with working hours to cover news shifts where needed.
  • Basic adobe suite skills also a bonus
