We are Gfinity. A leading international Esports business created by gamers for the world’s 2.7bn gamers! We make esports easy for our partners, leveraging our years of industry experience to help create propositions everyone loves! Have a look at the business prior to applying so you can understand the things we do and the teams you will be working with.

Are you a gamer and you love gaming? Even better! What we are looking for is a switched on, hardworking, ambitious People Associate to join our team, report into the Head of People and work together to transform and create a best-in-class HR offering. You will be responsible for fixing problems and ensuring accurate administration. As a person you probably get enjoyment and satisfaction out of making things run smoothly and ‘making things happen’. You don’t need to know everything, but you really need to want to know and learn as much as possible. This is a hands-on role, not a back-office HR role. You will be involved with many different departments of the business, have insight and plenty opportunities to start defining your career further.

Gfinity is a fast-paced environment, there are conflicting priorities and many ongoing changes. You must be comfortable working in a constantly moving and changing environment, having the ability to adapt and deliver quickly.

You must be willing to help with a range of tasks, some of which will be repetitive and not particularly exciting, and some of which may be unrelated to your main role.

If you have a good understanding of employment law, great! If not, be prepared and willing to learn.

20% of your time will also see you working with the finance team and the CFO offering admin support.

You will also:

  • Have the opportunity to be involved with bigger picture initiatives, from diversity and inclusion to training and development to reviewing policies and procedures and ensuring they are fit for purpose and not necessarily following “best practice” (best practise normally means doing what everyone else does – we want to do things differently! We want our HR department to be current, relevant and have an active role in shaping the future of the business. You will be an important part of that.
  • Be responsible for every administrative aspect of an employee’s journey (freelancers too). You will work on drafting, changing, and sending contracts, setting up new starters on systems, ensuring all our data is up to date, creating forms, surveys, conducting meetings, scheduling meetings, keeping notes, offering help and support to our people!
  • Manage and optimise all crucial aspects of business operations. Admin / HR / IT – helping to build and impactful organisation.
  • Work with the Head of people to deliver on our team growth strategy and develop the HR function of the business further and better
  • Serve as our human resources administrator and implement various tasks including maintenance of employee files, hiring and leaving processes, compliance reporting, and other workplace issues.
  • Review and periodically update the Employee Handbook and respond to staff inquiries regarding policies
  • Participate in recruitment efforts, including writing job descriptions, evaluating candidates, onboarding and training
  • Manage the daily HR requirements, including probations, reviews, training and staff support
  • Oversee administrative, IT and technical needs and requirements of the organization, including researching, proposing and implementing new systems / software / tools that will increase efficiencies across the organisation
  • Organize and manage team meetings, present ideas and solutions for constant improvements
  • Organize team retreats and travel from time to time

Its an exciting time to join, it will be hard work but the learnings will be worth it!
