We are in the lookout for an incredible talented and experienced Head of Esports Operations. Someone who is well versatile with a great business acumen and commercial understanding. Impeccable knowledge of the esports and gaming industry and well versed around esports operations and technology, online and offline production, who loves gaming, understands the tournament’s platform technology and is looking to join a fast paced, entrepreneurial and growing company.
Your primary focus will be to:
- Design and develop a range of esports and competitive gaming entertainment concepts that solve for the challenges faced by publishers, brands, sports rights holders and media companies, helping them engage with millions of gamers worldwide
- Design bespoke esports competition structures to drive year-round engagement and monetization opportunities for Gfinity and our clients
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and different teams to help develop and execute Gfinity’s Esports strategy;
- Interface directly with clients to develop Gfinity’s business interests, establish client goals, define project scopes, and simultaneously manage the esports portions of their programmes ensuring that all activity aligns with their objectives
- Assist Gfinity’s Commercial Team as an esports subject matter expert with the creation and organization of crucial project collateral, RFPs, proposals, and other sales presentation material
- Help to develop strategies aimed at growing the recurring revenues from our existing client base in close cooperation with Gfinity’s Commercial Team
- Assist with all aspects of Gfinity’s tournament planning including conceptualizing, designing, pre-planning, and the full execution of projects
- Prepare budgets based on the project’s scope of work and resource requirements.
- Maintain and execute against the project’s scope of work, keeping production on time and within budget
- Create wireframes, write specifications documents, and present recommendations for new esports features across all of our digital products working alongside other members of the team
- Assist with the research, data gathering and studies required to produce thoughtful product evolutions
You must have experience with:
- working with tournament ops teams, recruiting, managing and leading on event delivery
- Creating and distributing event materials including staffing schedules, travel sheets, floor plans, tournament schedules and operational process documents to appropriate internal and external stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining a network of esports industry contacts providing a steady flow of referrals and leads to the business.
