The Athletics Department is seeking to hire a Video Analyst, Manager. At the core of this role will be the goal of maintaining a high standard for creativity and quality while driving down production costs. The key accountabilities are sourcing and managing all production aspects. The Video Analyst Manager should continuously work to see the big picture of athletics production and how it can best contribute to and support the goals of Georgia State Athletics; to integrate production and video assets across all departments and platforms, ensuring brand and message consistency throughout.

The scope of responsibility duties will include but not limited to:

  • Maintain a team of freelance technical production staff to include: sourcing, training, scheduling, contracts and payroll.
  • Utilize GSU-TV and other University resources - create an intern hierarchy to provide an entry to being involved in Athletics production, and to increase learning and move through live and post-production positions to the benefit of the student and athletic video production efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Athletics Director and Sr. Associate AD- External

Creat and manage live video productions in Athlethcs venues to include:

  • Tactical management of production planning from pre-production through live.
  • Oversee all scheduling for production teams and manage all production calendars in close collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Scope projects, allocate resources, budget creation and management, freelance contracts and payroll.
  • Liaison for: all Athletics partners as it pertains to video production including but not limited to the Sun Belt Conference, ESPN and NeuLion; external productions at all Athletics venues.
  • Support Facilities and IIT with workflow and staffing needs to maximize client customer service while determining the most cost­ effective means for achieving goals.
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Engineering and IT on new live video initiatives to help ensure quality and efficiency, adhering to budget allocations and creative direction.
  • Producer role for all live Athletics events including but not limited to: ESPN3; PantherVision; GSU Stadium In-Game (Video); ESports/CM; External Clients

Oversee creative video content development to include:

  • Manage existing video department, daily workflow of video and media projects in production and post-production phases through to execution and calendar of projects and deadlines.
  • Create and manage a video inventory to maximize each asset's usefulness and consistency across all platforms including in­ game, live, marketing and social media.
  • Work to integrate marketing and production whenever possible to create entertaining marketing initiatives to advance fan engagement.
  • Support marketing with video production needs; Help design and develop live video elements for Social Media to maximize fan engagement.

Support CMII / ESports to include:

  • Producer for eSports and other special event shows/streams, including, but not limited to, Fall and Spring eSports Tournaments, drone racing at the Georgia State University Stadium, and other agreed upon events. Such role shall also include, but not be limited to, assisting in set design and lighting, helping create the production budget and pre-production schedule, create graphics design and venue display design, and streaming set-up and live production.
  • Consult eSports administration and team during pre-production; assist in assembling a crew that is a combination of professionals and students.
  • Help build collaborations with CMII, CETL, GSUTV, the journalism and sports 20 No marketing programs, and PC to give students across the University an opportunity to learn and be innovative in live productions.
  • Utilize cutting-edge technologies at CMII to produce unique content and display the capabilities of CMII and the resources available at CMII and the video asset library for CMII.
  • As requested, teach Master Classes or Workshops for University students on agreed upon topics.
  • Other duties as assigned relating to the CMll/eSports activities at the University.

Salary : $70,000 - $80,000

Pay Grade: 22

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

The preferred candidate should possess the following attributes

  • Bachelor's degree and seven years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Previous experience associated with higher education / academic office environment
  • Knowledge of business and financial management practices
  • Strong knowledge of standard office and business software (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of university rules, and office policies and procedures
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A self-starter, quick learner with an awareness to meet deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships
