IT Manager

The IT Manager will be the key contact for IT Support for employees in regards to IT operations, particularly for local LA staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all IT equipment for all US employees.

Reporting to the IT Manager Canada, the IT Manager role and responsibilities are the following but not limited to:

  • Key contact for all IT network infrastructure, ensuring internet and firewall connectivity
  • Configuring and deploying IT equipment including performing onboarding and offboarding duties for all US employees
  • Working with couriers to ship equipment to employees
  • Maintain internal network including: Domain, VPN, Wireless
  • Purchasing IT equipment and maintaining inventory levels
  • Prepare IT Equipment, managing security on all network and cloud infrastructure
  • Set up and maintain IT permissions, managing security and access to various applications
  • Support all employees with their varies IT needs, taking action to assist in solving their problems
  • Work with HR in regards to hiring and termination of employees, retain confidential data
  • Work with vendor in the USA for softwares and network including with with ISP
  • Ensure integrity of backup systems
  • Available to work after hours for maintenance, installation and updates
  • Managing asset tracking (tagging, tracking, assigning in online tool)
  • Annual reviews with the IT Manager Canada to ensure that we are always using the best options as our “standard” gear and updating our supplies when better alternatives become available.

Experience & Education

  • 5+ years experience in IT networking
  • 5+ years experience managing IT desktop environment (Windows and MacOS)
  • 2+ experience working with AWS and/or Azure
  • 2+ experience working with Linux
  • Core understanding on the functionality and structure of a software development company
  • Strong problem solving and communication needs
  • Bachelor's degree in IT Systems and/or equivalent

Assets:

  • Knowledge and experience in the gaming, multimedia and/or web services industry
  • Demonstrated success autonomously managing complex projects that require input from many stakeholders
  • Advanced communication, collaboration, organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Start-up experience
