We’re the largest competitive gaming organization serving scholastic institutions in North America focused on making esports available to every student as a legitimate varsity level sport. We achieve this by making it easy for faculty to offer students the chance to engage in healthy esports competition, surrounded by peers while supervised by teachers. Through organized esports competitions, students are learning to align their commitment to gaming with their success in academics and potential future careers.
We’re on the verge of transforming youth athletics for generations to come. Generation Esports is a technology company at its core, building a platform to service youth competitive esports from young kids to adults. We’re looking for a League Commissioner who can lead our team to offering fair and fun structure esports competition. This job requires you to be in-the-know of the latest trends across multiple titles and the esports scene as a whole. We're looking for someone that isn't afraid to make the tough decisions and to defend those decisions on a public forum. You'll be asked to enforce the rules, choose tournament styles, decide on match disputes, and choose which games to offer for which tournaments,

Requirements
- Leader mindset with a sense of ownership and strong initiative
- Well versed in competitive structure
- Understands all popular esports titles
- History in either competing or organizing esports events
- Ability to clearly and respectfully communicate during high stress situations
- Ability to understand data and use it to drive decision making
- Can create and maintain rules for competitive structures
- Consult with clients on the best competitive formats for their vision.
- Flexible schedule
- Willing to have a public persona on social media and our discord
- Effectively work with other departments

Tasks & Responsibilities
- Leading and managing the competitive team
- Oversee, generate, and maintain complete tournament design documentation
- Maintain actively running tournaments and competitions
- Create, maintain, and oversee competitive rule sets
- Communicate with departments, clients, game publishers, and communities on competitive matters.
- Reporting on competition progress and completion to the executive team and other departments.
- Inform product team on competition feature sets needed
- Manage match and player dispute pipeline
- Maintaining a fun and healthy competitive experience
- Research and develop new competitive experiences
- Being an active and vocal figurehead in our various communities
- Assisting in coordination of live broadcasts
