Gearbox Software is looking for a talented Program Manager to head up our eSports/Events initiatives. The competitive gaming ecosystem is still in its infancy. We here at Gearbox have a unique opportunity to shape it for our region (North Texas) and beyond. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing the overall strategy for the business and see it through to execution. Think of this role as a hands-on mini-general manager. If you are an experienced and driven Program Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for eSports/competitive gaming, we would love to have you join the team!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the overall strategic roadmap from conception to execution
  • Communicate project status and roadmap to stakeholders and leaders
  • Design competitive systems, leagues and branding
  • Manage daily operations of the events business (marketing, sales, vendors, etc.)
  • Ensure project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are achieved
  • Main point of contact for events with internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaise with game developers/publishers, industry endemics, and the city of Frisco
  • Partner and support Gearbox Publishing

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of eSports and events with a pre-existing network of contacts across the industry
  • Experience as a Program or Project Manager
  • 3+ years of experience in the gaming/competitive gaming industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must have a strong business acumen
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
