GAMURS Group (gamurs.group), the leading esports media network running websites Dot Esports and Gamepur, is seeking a Social Media Manager. A suitable candidate must be organized, have strong writing skills in English, be self-motivated, and show a willingness to experiment to identify new avenues of success.

Necessary skills:

  • Great knowledge of the competitive video game space (esports). The games for which you will be following the social space are: DotA 2, League of Legends, Counter Strike, Call of Duty, card games (Hearthstone, MTG), Fortnite, Apex Legends, Overwatch and the general gaming space (for example Red Dead Redemption 2, Pokemon, GTA V etc.)
  • Great knowledge of gaming culture
  • Great knowledge of English language
  • Very organized, position involves many different social media properties
  • Familiarized with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Twitch, Reddit and Youtube
  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills
  • Must be proactive, not reactive to changes in the social media landscape. Stay educated on the industry
  • Problem solving skills

Duties

  • Follow the general ecosystem of multiple esports titles in order to pick up news worth reporting across the social media space (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube)
  • Engage the community of followers with social discussions, joke gifs, breaking news (in coordination with the editorial team) and other ways which will keep followers of GAMURS’ social profiles engaged
  • Identify and meet the appropriate tone for our audience
  • Schedule posts to a variety of social media channels and pages, including multiple Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages
  • Conduct experiments in order to find new ways to engage GAMURS’ community
  • Analyze successes and failures in posting using analytics insights to improve workflow and identify new potential
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop social media campaigns that help to drive engagement, clicks, and new followers
