Gamepur, the fast-growing hub of gaming news and in-depth guides, is hiring a Managing Editor. This is a key position for a rapidly growing publication. The Managing Editor will be responsible for daily article assignments and edits, executing top-level editorial strategies, and helping map out coverage for events and game releases.
The ideal candidate has at least two years experience in games journalism and, preferably, has previous editing experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing publication at the ground level. Gamepur is the gaming news and guides arm of the GAMURS network of websites, which also includes Dot Esports, the world’s premier esports news publication.
Expectations:
Expected daily contributions include assigning news and guides and editing articles to a high editorial standard. The managing editor will also be responsible for maintaining an editorial calendar and ensuring major news events and conferences are covered adequately.

- Have a deep understanding of the games industry
- Manage a team of 10+ freelance writers daily
- Be able to balance the competing demands of speed and editorial quality
- Knowledge of AP Style a plus
