Job Description
We are currently looking for a Payroll Administrator to assist in general tasks related to payroll production and processing.
From the beginning of your adventure with us, you will be tasked with:
- Verify time sheets according to various cost centers on a weekly basis;
- Follow up with managers regarding time sheet approval;
- Participate in and coordinate the payroll processing for 3 companies with more than 500 employees in total for Canada and USA;
- Administer group insurance, RRSPs, and training;
- Enter employees into the system;
- Participate in new employee onboarding process and follow up on employee files;
- Participate in year-end process;
- Answer various questions, from employees;
- Create various payroll reports for analysis;
- Any other related duties.
Qualifications
Experience and qualifications:
- DEC in Business Administration or Accounting
- At least 3 years’ experience in payroll administration
- Expert knowledge in the Windows suite (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- General knowledge of laws and regulations related to payroll and social benefits (e.g. employment insurance, personal income tax, etc.)
- Able to respect the confidentiality of information held by the Payroll Department
- Able to work under pressure in order to respect deadlines
- Attention to detail and quality, and able to work in a team
- Knowledge of the full payroll cycle in Quebec
- Knowledge of the full payroll cycle for Ontario and US (an asset)
- Knowledge of the Pay@Work (ADP) payroll system and EZLabour (ADP) (an asset)
- Fluency in English and French both oral and written
