Job Description

ROLE

The Gameloft Montreal Studio has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Game Community Manager to join Gameloft's team of community experts working on Disney Dreamlight Valley.

As a Senior Game Community Manager, you will join a team of passionate social media and community experts dedicated to building the most rewarding community experiences for Disney Dreamlight Valley players and fans around the world.

In this role, you will be tasked with fostering healthy and thriving communities on a set of key channels for your game. Your key responsibilities will be defining, developing, and managing the best community content and experiences in order to keep the community entertained by and engaged with the game. As such, you will be working with a team of Game Community Managers, caring for the game's communities and funneling their feedback in order to support your game team by continuously improving our players' experiences.

Passion is key! For this position, we expect you to have an understanding of the ins and outs of gaming communities and their importance within a game's lifecycle. Also, it goes without saying that to be a truly great fit for this position, you should be a gamer at heart, with a hands-on understanding of the power of communities in the gaming realm.

JOB SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Channel strategy and community management: 50%

  • Develop and deploy the community strategy for the game, including channel strategy, evergreen content approach and engagement strategy.

  • Develop and produce the evergreen content approach for the social media networks you are responsible for, in accordance with the game's priorities and objectives throughout each period.

  • Ensure that the community of players has first-hand access to patch notes, tutorials, promotions and information on events happening in the game.

  • Own the content and assets creation process in order to produce a consistent flow of evergreen content for each of the channels you are responsible for, and, when necessary, propose ways to optimize the content creation process to ensure a positive ROI.

  • Track and analyze community and content performance KPIs, and ensure steady progression quarter on quarter on the channels for which you are responsible.

Campaign and community activation development: 20%

  • Ideate, plan, and execute community-focused activations to support the game's major production milestones.

  • Track and analyze the performance of each campaign, and share learning in order to continuously improve each campaign.

  • Collaborate with other key stakeholders (influencers, marketing, live ops, CMI, etc.) in order to ideate and amplify community-focused activations.

Community engagement and moderation: 20%

  • Develop a conversational rapport on the channels you are responsible for to build a strong bond with all community members. Work hand-in-hand with the Game Community Managers on the title in order to ensure maximum coverage rate across the channels for which you are responsible.

  • Set community performance targets in terms of growth, engagement, overall coverage, reply times, community CSAT, overall sentiment, and community retention metrics, and utilize tools and processes at hand to continuously improve performance.

  • Ensure the validity and use of all frameworks guaranteeing community safety, crisis management, customer satisfaction, and game/update technical issue coverage across the channels for which you are responsible.

  • Analyze conversations and identify key insights from the community in order to improve content and community experiences on the channels for which you are responsible.

  • Develop and amplify UGC across the channels for which you are responsible.

Planning, project management, social media toolstack: 10%

  • Work with major game team stakeholders in order to plan and execute community-focused projects for the game.

  • Utilize all available tools and resources in order to analyze the impact of your content and community plans. Propose improvements, opportunities, and challenges, year-over-year.

  • Conduct benchmarks and trend observations: Be a proactive source of ideation for the game's community team as well as the game's marketing and management teams.

  • Take part in global projects throughout the year on behalf of the game.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years experience in a similar position

  • A passion for gaming and gaming experiences of all kinds

  • Analytical mind and KPI-driven

  • Understanding of community KPIs and how to track them

  • Understanding of social media networks and how they are used by gamers

  • Experience with community and social media toolstacks (e.g. publishing tools, social listening tools, and content creation tools such as Canva, Photoshop, etc.)

  • Relationship-driven: Ability to build credible and trusting relationships in a fast-paced environment with a broad range of colleagues and collaborators across the company and globe

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and international environment

  • Positive energy, team spirit, and a zest for fun are a must
