Join our talented team as we embark on an uncharted gaming adventure! We're on the lookout for a passionate AI Programmer to contribute their skills to a cutting-edge, undisclosed PC/Console video game project. Partnering with a major fantasy license, this stylized survival craft game promises to redefine the genre and capture the imaginations of players worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement AI systems for in-game characters, including pathfinding, decision-making, and tactical behaviors.
- Collaborate with designers and other programmers to integrate AI into gameplay mechanics.
- Write efficient and maintainable code in C#.
- Continuously optimize and refine AI systems for performance and quality.
- Debug and troubleshoot AI-related issues.
- Contribute to the development of tools for AI creation and testing.
- Stay current with the latest developments and trends in AI within the gaming industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, game development, or a related field.
- At least 6-8 years of proven experience in game programming, with a portfolio showcasing completed projects.
- Solid understanding of AI principles, such as state machines, behavior trees, and pathfinding algorithms.
- Strong proficiency in C# and experience with Unity.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Passion for games and an understanding of game design principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical concepts.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with multiplayer game development.
- Experience with console game development.
