We are currently looking for a 3D Generalist Artist to be part of our internal creative agency and produce promotional materials for all Gameloft games, from static to animated assets.
From the beginning of your adventure with us, you will be tasked with:
- Designing 3D models, rigs, and animations
- Understanding the underlying technical problems related to 3D productions and recommending practices conducive to producing elements more efficiently
- Rendering high-resolution images and image sequences
- Understanding team dynamics and acting as a cohesive force
- Constantly pushing the limits of the art quality on each project
- Providing a positive impact on the company and team morale; being considered a key resource person by management and artists
Qualifications
Experience and Qualifications:
- A diploma of college studies in graphic arts or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position
- Complete command of camera animation and of staging principles
- Solid educational background: anatomy; understanding of physics-related constraints, both mechanical and organic; basic rules of composition; the ability to meticulously reproduce proportions, shapes and details
- Solid educational background: industrial design, understanding of physical constraints related to mechanics, excellent understanding of materials, mastery of colour theory
- Broad knowledge of the visual arts (animated films, games, character design, industrial/automobile design, comics, photography, etc.)
- Versatile and able to adapt to various visual styles/worlds
- Mastery of a variety of 3D-animation production software packages (3ds Max [character studio / Biped, CAT, custom rig], Maya, MotionBuilder, Spine, etc.)
- Experience with render plugins, such as Arnold, V-Ray, Redshift or OctaneRender
- Able to simplify complex or technical ideas
- Mastery of traditional 3D modeling processes (Max or Maya) and of texture and material creation that is compatible with rendering models as well as physically based rendering (PBR)
- Mastery of next-gen production tools: ZBrush, xNormal, Quixel Suite, Substance 3D Designer/Painter, Knald (Albedo, Roughness, Normal, Spec, AO, etc.)
- A passion for video games!
