Job Description
3D Artists will work closely with Game Designers and Game Programmers. 3D Artists must have good modelling skills as well as ability to produce high quality graphics and assets for games. Ability to turn concepts or references into high quality 3D graphics and ensure proper integration of produced art in the game.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Good knowledge of gaming style modeling and texturing
- Create 3D environments, props, objects and scenes using 3Ds Max, VRay and/or Mental Ray
- UV Mapping and Texture creation
- Materials and prefab setup in Unity3D
- Create efficient animation Rigs and Skin characters as per game specifications is a plus
- Ability to setup 3D cameras and lights in Unity3D is a plus
Essential Skills/Qualifications
- Proficient skills in 3Ds Max, Substance Painter and Photoshop
- Good knowledge of Substance Painter and understanding of using PBR, its theory and material creation is a must
- Ability to create basic concept art which helps to communicate the proposed visual elements during pre-production
- Ability to produce 3D modeling and realistic textures, light baking and deliver high quality 3D art and assets both in high poly and low poly
- Proficient in model/file setup in Unity3D with lighting and particles FX
- Having an idea on shaders and material workaround in Unity3D
- Ability to achieve various art styles in Unity3D
Software Skills
- 3Ds Max (Must have 2 plus year of production experience)
- Substance Painter
- Adobe Photoshop (Must)
- Zbrush/Mudbox (Optional)
Additional Requirements
- Good communication skills
- Must be a great team player
- Must have experience of commercial projects. Previous experience of game production is a huge plus
- Creative, detail-oriented, resourceful and should have ability to work under pressure
- Passion for video games and mobile games and knowledge of different game genres other platforms is a huge plus
- A well written CV and professional online work portfolio (Must)
