With the current growth of Sim Racing Esports, G2 Esports is looking for a qualified Team Manager to lead one of the most successful Sim Racing lineups, either remotely, or preferably from Berlin, Germany, in close cooperation with our Partners, first and foremost Red Bull Racing, as well as Senior Management.
The Team Manager is a key member of the team and takes part in developing, implementing, executing and reporting on competitive planning, execution and results. This role works closely with internal cross-functional business teams, production, commercial, branding and marketing teams, as well as external partners and vendors to ensure the success of the G2 strategy.
The ideal candidate is an experienced and engaging person that is passionate about gaming and racing in particular. You are meticulously organized and amazing at project management; your skills at multi-tasking are legendary. As an influential people-person, your interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and inspire others are second nature.
Responsibilities
- Manage players on a day-to-day basis and ensure that they meet all media, sponsor, and tournament obligations
- Ensure a positive team environment and assist with structuring daily routines, as well as software and hardware related issues
- Maintain constant communication with, and report to Senior Management regarding player schedules, obligations and developments
- Act as first point of contact for Partners and in particular with Red Bull Racing for any team related tasks
- Stay on top of all upcoming Sim Racing competitions, regulations and qualifying procedures, and ensure compliance and consistency among staff and players
- Plan and manage travel to events (including accommodation and visa applications) and serve as on-site manager at Sim Racing offline events
- Manage league required paperwork submission throughout the year
- Take an active part in the creation and renewal process of players contracts and ensure the smooth operation of payroll and prize money related processes
Requirements
- Proven related work experience as a Team Manager, Coach or similar
- Excellent grasp of PR and Branding
- Profound understanding of the competitive esports/Sim Racing scene and major games on PC and consoles
- Good time management, prioritization skills, independence and flexibility in working hours. Esports is global and happens across all timezones and days of the week
- Willing to walk the extra mile for players when needed
- Empathetic and social personality
- Excellent written and fluent verbal communication skills in English. German language is a big plus, any other language is also a plus
- Ability to work proactively and autonomously with guidance from Senior Management
