Based in Long Island, NY, G Fuel, LLC is a marketer of natural powdered drink mixes and other energy products seeking to elevate its marketing initiatives.

We are looking for an organized, motivated and proactive Social Media Specialist to help drive our social media and community engagement for G Fuel. Ideal candidates are eSports fans who are seasoned integrated marketing and communications professionals with experience developing and implementing cohesive and effective marketing programs. You will work directly with our CMO and COO to define our overall message and voice across all social media platforms.

Social Media Marketing and Communications:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive social media strategy through consistent storytelling to promote G Fuel across all channels
  • Manage external digital platforms to promote G Fuel in the market (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
  • Develop and deploy plans, project timelines and social/digital promotion
  • Ensure social integration with other marketing effort, such as events, media campaigns, and product launches
  • Work with our Marketing team, photographers, videographers and influencers to capture and create content native to relevant social media formats and ensure G Fuel is telling a cohesive story on all platforms
  • Come up with new, scrappy content ideas and capture content on a weekly basis to remain nimble and maintain G Fuel’s always-on presence
  • Engages daily with our community - answering questions, continuing the conversation, and sharing our community’s content
  • Maximize traffic, engagement, and growth potential across all platforms, with a high focus on Instagram and Twitter.
  • Maintain a critical eye over content quality and brand tone
  • Plan social media content calendar and schedule postings
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and changing social media technologies
  • Stay up to date and report on emerging trends, new social media tools, best practices and how other organizations and companies are using them, so that G Fuel can continue to be an early adopter of such technologies
  • Define KPIs to measure success across social campaigns

Qualifications / Knowledge and skills:

  • Creative with a great visual eye and a photo journalism or writing background
  • Experience succeeding in each channel and tapping into emerging trends in the space, particularly the eSports space
  • Familiar with paid and organic elements of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
  • Very strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Community building experience – internally and externally
  • Strong competence with social media creation tools: HTML, PhotoShop, InDesign, FinalCut, etc.
  • Analytical with a keen understanding of social media KPIs by post type and platform
  • Understanding of how to track to business objectives and how to analyze data to craft narratives and reports
  • Experience navigating multiple stories/topics while building a cohesive digital story-telling strategy.
  • Ability to write and edit conversational social posts and packages in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with HootSuite or other scheduling tools
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, monitor and respond to changes quickly
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Passion and enthusiasm for G Fuel and eSports
  • At least 2-3 years in consumer product and social media marketing

Judgment and Decision Making: This position requires low level of supervision. An ideal candidate would be able to work autonomously to achieve strategic goals.
