As part of Funcom’s ongoing expansion, the company is strengthening its in-house marketing department with several new positions, among those a Digital Trade Marketing Manager.

Your Mission in Funcom

Funcom is looking for a Digital Trade Marketing Manager to join our team's mission of creating awareness and conversion for all Funcom games. This role will report to the Sales Director and will work closely with the marketing team based in Stockholm and Oslo.

The Digital Trade Marketing Manager is someone with a strong commercial background, who is able to build value for Funcom, First and Third parties both strategically and operationally. In this role, you will be responsible for the brand and product translation at First- and Third-party stores to drive the preference for Funcom titles to ensure growth.

You will develop guidelines for store front campaigns, (Tailor made) promotions, micro sites and bannering. You will maintain ongoing collaboration by engaging in high-level discussions and following up and executing pre-launch, launch and post launch campaigns as well as promotions. You will work with the marketing team and the Creative team to develop assets for store fronts, landing pages, campaign and promotion sites and you will work with the sales team to create and execute campaigns and promotions that will increase conversion and through that also growth and revenue.

The Digital Trade Marketing Manager is excellent at ensuring both external and internal communication is up to date, and that all parties are included in discussions relevant to them.

How you can have an impact in your position:

  • Maintain relationships and keep an open line of communication with key people both internally and externally
  • Set up and manage first and third-party store pages. Including submissions. sales, pricing and discounts.
  • Work with the Sales and Product Marketing team by following up and executing on campaigns and other opportunities
  • Connect annually account plans with annual marketing plans into annual trade marketing plans for first- and third parties.
  • Work closely with teams across the company to execute new game launches and coordinate the setup of pre-orders, game releases and promotions in first and third-party stores
  • Understand all aspects of platform relevant features, guidelines, and other policies to educate internal teams on potential positive and negative impacts
  • Evaluate, evangelize, and execute on new growth initiatives and technologies created and offered by First- and Third-party platforms
  • Leverage relevant company, game, and/or product data to develop recommendations for new product features or changes on first- and third-party platforms
  • Cooperate with Sales Manager, Performance Marketing Manager and the Creative Services team to execute innovative, best-in-class activations
  • Understand the Digital consumer journey and come up with solutions to optimize the moments of contact with the consumer on first- and third-party platforms
  • Ensure internal teams are fully up to date on plans and activities, as well as keeping First- and Third parties informed about Funcom roadmaps, titles, and activities

We are looking for someone that has:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience within the gaming industry
  • Proven experience in Digital trade marketing and first- or third-party collaboration within the gaming industry
  • The ability to work strategically, and the passion to execute
  • The ability to combine creative thought with a data-driven approach
  • Both excellent proactive and reactive communication skills, with a strong ability to present insight and strategies to argue for your decisions and recommendations
  • Experience with assets creation and implementation
  • Passion for video games and the gaming industry
