After completing a successful turnaround Funcom is now in the middle of an exciting growth phase backed by Tencent, one of the largest gaming companies in the world. To support our internal communications through this period of company growth, our team in Oslo is looking for a Communications Specialist.
As a Communications Specialist at Funcom, you will work closely with Funcom’s Senior Management team and office management teams to make engaging presentations, reports and any graphical elements to make those visually pleasing to stakeholders and industry partners. The successful applicant will be expected to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in order to enhance internal communications and employer branding, as well as influence the development of future communication strategies.
We are looking for a candidate with some previous experience in a role like this. As this is in many ways a support function to other departments and people within the studio you need to be service minded and always have an eye on the big picture. The right candidate has both feet firmly on the ground, a “can do” attitude and a humble approach to the job. You are a cooperative and understanding person that thrives in a fluid environment where no two days might look the same. Flexibility and responsibility are key. As a person you are organized, thorough and able to run multiple projects in parallel – still committed to seeing them all through.
We are looking for someone that has:
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience in creative or communication fields
- Advanced layout, composition and design skills to make presentations and reports that can communicate its content in an effective and pleasing manner
- Experience with Office Word and Powerpoint applications
- Experience with graphics design and tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience working with content management systems / publishing tools and intranet platforms
- An eye for detail and a high visual bar for quality
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Fluency in English, both written and oral
