As a Software Engineer- Multiplayer Gameplay, reporting to the Software Engineer - Systems Lead, you will:

Responsibilities

  • build the technology required to support skate's online gameplay features.
  • drive the implementation of skate's distributed authority-based multiplayer gameplay, and help the Gameplay team implement features with it
  • work with the Systems and Gameplay teams to reduce bandwidth usage without sacrificing visual quality or gameplay fidelity
  • develop solutions to track the efficiency of our networking

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional experience in C++ software development.
  • Proficiency in integrating and maintaining large-scale systems covering multiple domains.
  • Understanding of networking models employed by games, and their strengths and deficiencies
  • Understanding of memory management, multi-threading, and run-time optimization.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
