We are also growing our team to continue the growth of Frontier Foundry, our games label for publishing games developed by carefully selected partner studios.

We are looking for an exceptional and talented Dialogue Designer to join our growing Audio team in Cambridge, UK.

Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the Dialogue Manager on the organisational hierarchy.
  • Collaboration and involvement with project audio, game design, narrative and production teams.
  • Raising the bar for creating sonically rich, high-quality game dialogue.
  • Working with the Dialogue Manager and Senior Dialogue Designer to ensure quality control and stylistic consistency for spoken dialogue throughout each title.
  • Working alongside narrative stakeholders in casting voice actors, organising character briefs and providing sample scripts.
  • Identifying opportunities to create or shape existing systems to facilitate the effective and efficient implementation of dialogue, undertaking design responsibilities as required.
  • Liaising with the Localisation team to support the successful and efficient localisation of dialogue content, including ensuring the appropriate casting, mastering and engineering of localised files to match final original dialogue production as required on a per-project basis.
  • Collaborating with internal Tools teams and programmers to develop the necessary tools and optimisations for the dialogue/localisation pipeline.

About you

  • Have experience recording voice actors as well as working with voice directors and recording engineers for voice content within a visual medium.
  • Experienced with all phases of dialogue production and post-production, including studio recording, location recording, editing and mastering.
  • Professional proficiency using audio tools like Reaper, Izotope RX, etc.
  • Knowledge of signal processing tools such as compressors, limiters, equalisers, etc.
  • Proven experience implementing interactive dialogue in game engines and middleware, such as Unreal and Wwise.
  • Any experience directing actors is considered to be a plus, but is not necessary for this role.
