Freejam is an innovative indie game development studio based in a beautiful waterside location in Portsmouth, UK. The team who created the successful multiplayer free-to-play game Robocraft is looking for talented programmers to develop the new, ambitious, early-access title ‘Gamecraft’.
We are looking for a talented Unity Programmer to help develop the technologies and systems needed for this exciting project.
Responsibilities
- Work together with our artists and designers to bring features to life
- Develop in collaboration with other programmers, taking responsibility for large tasks
- Help maintain code quality and maintainability
- Write optimised code considering CPU, memory and network requirements
Qualifications
- A degree in computer science, games development or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years professional games programming experience.
Requirements
- An excellent understanding of game architecture and good programming practices
- Experience of working on at least one title
- Experience developing multiplayer games is useful
- Good C# programming skills
- Experience with Unity3D
- Strong written/verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management and organisation skills and an enthusiastic team worker
- A logical thinker with great problem solving skills
- Excellent maths skills
- Experience with C++ is useful
- An understanding of Entity Component System architecture is useful

This role is a full-time, permanent position based at our office in Portsmouth, UK, and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
