YOUR MISSION

Position Purpose:

As Account Director you will provide leadership and commercial direction for selected clients. You should be ambitious, performance-oriented and excel in managing and growing an existing portfolio of accounts.

In your position, you will also support the development of Account Managers responsible for selling our agency services, products (sponsorships) or production capabilities (content productions). You are eager to understand the account’s needs and make sure to create in-depth account plans incl. strategies to increase business, market research, and best-in-class client management.

Additionally, you share knowledge and your experience within the team, join client meetings and lead/support during negotiations, take responsibility in escalation meetings and always be aware of any client developments within your team.

In this position, you will report to the Head of Account Management.

Task Overview

Team

  • Help to develop the Account Managers and focus on improving consultancy for our clients
  • Keep track of resources and support to distribute work within the team and make sure to balance workload

Account development & Account strategy

  • Define and implement account strategies covering sales targets and revenue
  • Ensure quarterly/yearly account plans are developed, measured, followed
  • Achieve sales and profit goals and always be on top of the current status
  • Accelerate the sales development of owned & operated products and services

Client

  • Develop strong relationships with clients, maintain executive-level relationships throughout the sales cycle and identify up-selling opportunities
  • Maximize business opportunities for Freaks 4U Gaming by seeking additional opportunities around your managed accounts
  • Ensure commercial and contract compliance is maintained within the identified contracts
  • Manage complex contract negotiations supported by our Legal team
  • Ensuring that performance against service levels are continually measured, delivered and reported in an accurate and timely way
  • Take over responsibility for key accounts (communication, operational & strategic work)
  • Create internal and external project/campaign briefings to ensure flawless execution by service departments
  • Budget controlling

YOUR PROFILE

  • Experience in leading a small team incl. development and strategy
  • Overall 5+ years of working experience
  • Sales-driven and experienced in selling client-focused solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Fluent speech and writing skills in English. German skills are a benefit but not a must
  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity
  • Ability to prioritize among competing tasks
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of the gaming and esports scene, marketing, measurements, and analytics
  • You are always looking to improve inefficient processes
  • Willingness to travel
