Job Summary

Flux is looking for a passionate QA Specialist to join our team during an exciting project we are developing! We are growing our team to create our next big consoles and PC production and we need a passionate and committed QA Specialist to detect and help us squash those bugs to bring our game to life in a bad-ass way.

  • This contract duration is 12-15 months.
  • Remuneration is negotiable based on portfolio and experience.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Tests our games and features daily
  • Creates and executes project test cases, test suites, test schedule, and other documentation needed for the successful testing of our games
  • Coordinates with you QA colleague(s) and adjusts schedules and plans to optimize the work done
  • Communicates with development and production teams to provide timely and accurate updates related to the project and immediately escalates critical issues to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Provides feedback to production and development on the state of the game via issues reported in bug-tracking software, timely project status updates, and via e-mail and face-to-face interactions.
  • Participates in and oversees the efforts of team members participating in both internal and external product testing and demonstrations.
  • Respects and Enforces testing policies, procedures and standards on the projects.
  • Self-Manages day-to-day activity in the issue tracking database, including routing issues, providing feedback to other testers on the quality of their bug write-ups - just as they will do to you.
  • Contributes to the ongoing effort to refine and maintain processes, policies and procedures related to the QA effort at Flux.

Skills And Experience

  • Minimum of one year video game testing experience
  • Demonstrably strong familiarity with QA processes and procedures
  • Strong familiarity with one or more video game platforms (PC, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo)
  • Solid PC skills, including ability to use Google Suite products, bug tracking software, and SDK/Debug tools from platform manufacturers
  • Ability to test in the Game Engine (Unity)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced or Fluent English
  • Detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of video game development industry
  • Passion for games!

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience on console certification is a huge plus (XB/PS/Switch).
  • One year or more leading teams of testers either formally or informally.
  • Experience on Steam certification
  • Experience with combat & fighting games
  • Experience with other areas of Game Development
