The Role:

We’re looking for an expert Unity developer with extensive C# and Unity experience to join the team at Fiveamp. This is a full-time remote position (40hr/w). In this role, you will be leading the development of one or more games. Qualified applicants may be asked to complete a skills test including coding as part of the interview process.

You'll be:

  • Writing clean, reusable, performant, C# code for Unity games
  • Developing new features from concept to deployment, working with design to deliver the best possible experience for players
  • Driving improvements to our coding practices & shared game-core infrastructure
  • Debugging, understanding, and implementing sustainable fixes for any software issues
  • Prioritizing knowledge sharing, establishing & maintaining coding standards for the team
  • Mentoring any junior devs with code review & technical discussions

Your background:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field -- proven professional experience in lieu of this will be considered
  • 4+ years of professional gamedev experience on Unity 3D applications (with shipped titles)
  • 4+ years C# experience, Expert level knowledge
  • Ability architect and fully own a project codebase
  • Deep knowledge of Unity’s core systems: Gameplay, Assets/Prefabs, UI, Graphics, Animations, Physics, Lighting, Input, Audio, Perf, etc
  • Experience developing across multiple deployment platforms (mobile, desktop, console)
  • Experience profiling & optimizing Unity games for performance on mobile platforms.

Highly regarded:

  • Git experience
  • Unity networking experience (Photon/Mirror/MLAPI)
  • PlayFab / Google Firebase experience
  • Previous Android/iOS development experience
  • Experience with web-based APIs & relational databases
