PRIMARY PURPOSE AND SUMMARY OF POSITION
Due to an expanding product portfolio, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Junior Marketer looking to enter the dynamic world of videogames and entertainment. Reporting to the Head of Marketing you will provide support to the marketing department of Five Star Games (FSG) by providing broad administrative support and assistance.
The primary role will be to assist the FSG Brand Marketing team by preparing and implementing strategic marketing plans for smaller niche software title releases. The ideal candidate will be a qualified marketer and will be experienced in handling a wide range of marketing related tasks. The person must be well organised, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a broader team.
The ability to interact in a fast paced, open plan environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and professional is crucial to this role. Expert level written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail are essential.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The role will encompass but is not limited to the following tasks:
- Preparing and implementing marketing plans for small niche software titles.
- Supporting the FSG Head of Marketing and broader marketing team as directed.
- Assisting with planning and execution of trade and consumer events.Attendance at events outside normal working hours may be required.
- Assist in maintaining the FSG website and social media sites.
JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education:
- Relevant tertiary qualification highly desirable.
Knowledge/Skills required:
- Proficient computer skills with an in-depth knowledge of the MS Office suite including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel as a minimum. Adobe Photoshop and Premier skills highly regarded.
- Strong interest in general entertainment (Video games / Film / TV / Digital Entertainment)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks/deadlines
- Works well under pressure and time constraints
- A good understanding of social media and digital marketing channels
Work Experience:
- Ideally 1-3 years marketing experience
- Experience within the entertainment industry would be highly regarded.
