Job Description

FirstBlood is seeking a part-time video editor who will be helping the Marketing team. You will report directly to the Digital Communications Manager and work with Marketing and Development teams to edit sequences from concept to completion.

Responsibilities but are not limited to:

• Organize and string together raw footage into a continuous whole.
• Select and combine the most effective shots of each scene to form a logical and smoothly running story.
• Trim film segments to specified lengths and reassemble segments in sequences that present stories with the maximum effect.
• Collaborate with Development and Marketing team to select appropriate sequences.

Must-Have(s)

• 3+ years of editing experience, preferably in the film or video game industry
• A strong understanding of gaming and esports videos a big plus
• Experience cutting picture, sound, and music
• Storytelling editing skills
• Ability to take creative direction and feedback
• Experience with file formats and color-space
• Deep knowledge of Adobe Premiere; and solid knowledge of Creative Suite, with After Effects expertise
• Demonstrable experience with motion graphics a BIG plus
• Working knowledge of Davinci Resolve and RV a plus
• A trouble-shooter - can re-patch a capture station, troubleshoot PCs, and solve audio/video issues as they arise
• Hyper-organized with an unwavering ability to hit deadlines consistently
