We are looking for a Senior Systems Designer with detailed knowledge and/or experience designing in-game economies, meta-game and progression systems.

In this role, you will join an ambitious team working on a AAA quality new IP ahead of the games launch. Working with the lead systems designer and a cross discipline team, to create and develop engaging and robust design for the project as a whole.

The metagame and economy will be under your domain, so you will leverage your analytic skills to benchmark competitor games and work closely with stakeholders to define and develop the overall metagame, progression systems, game economy and monetisation strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Imagining and defining exciting and original meta-game and progression systems
  • F2P economy design for a multiplatform live service game
  • Pitch and champion your ideas to the team and client
  • Working with cross discipline teams to deliver your designs
  • Benchmark competitor games
  • Data analysis
  • Documenting your ideas and processes

Requirements

  • Exceptional creativity along with technical and design skills
  • Logical mind to design and plan complex game systems
  • The aptitude to understand monetisation strategies
  • F2P or economy design experience on PC, Console or Mobile
  • Data analysis skills
  • Reverse engineering skills
  • Superb knowledge of industry standard packages such as Excel
  • Good presentation skills, leveraging PowerPoint or equivalent software
  • An understanding of game and gamer psychology
