We are Fire Without Smoke, a creative agency focused on video games and based in London.
We are looking to bring on a systems administrator into a varied role to improve our capabilities and support other facets of the business. The role would cover a broad spectrum of production hardware, software, and networking revolving around video production, graphics production, and video games. This also includes coordination with our international satellite offices to assist them with their systems as well.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in management, maintenance, and deployment of IT, software, networking, and data systems.
- Work with systems and staff located in our foreign offices.
- Provide support to users of multiple systems for both software and hardware.
- Monitor the systems, identify and respond to concerns or security breaches.
- Maintain backup procedures and data handling.
- Assist in development of infrastructure improvements.
Qualifications:
This is predominantly a junior, supporting role. We welcome recent university graduates, those who have an IT-based degree or qualification, those who have relevant experience in similar roles. Any experience with systems or network administration in small business environments would be beneficial. We love games, and if you do too, even better!
Familiarity or understanding of various operating systems, data and networking concepts including but not limited to:
- Linux
- MacOS
- PAN OS
- NAS
- AD systems.
A willingness to learn and improve your understanding and knowledge of fields you will be working in such as video production and video game development engines.
The ability to work with various client’s bespoke software and perform the required trouble shooting process in order to deploy these systems within our own production environments
