Primary Job Description:

The Human Resources Manager will report directly to the General Manager and manage all aspects of human resources including but not limited to recruitment, benefits administration, recognition, safety, training coordination etc. The right candidate will be collaborative, approachable and accessible. S/he must possess superior communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to be an effective listener and problem solver while working with all stakeholders.

Essential Functions:

  • MUST HAVE RECRUITING EXPERIENCE
  • Collaborate with the team overall on recruitment strategy, including outlining required candidate competencies for any new employee joining the team.
  • Build and utilize a successful pipeline of talent
  • Build and maintain great working relationships internally and externally
  • Build and maintain recruiting activity reports to track talent pipeline
  • Develop and create job postings, sourcing and talent outreach, scheduling interviews, updating candidate status within the applicant tracking system, schedule background checks
  • Conduct a high volume of phone and in-person interviews with candidates
  • Remain connected to potential talent and follow up with their status in a timely fashion
  • Manage employee onboarding process of new hires
  • Assist in revamping FaZeClan New Hire Onboarding Program
  • Lead and leverage HR processes and drive key HR initiatives across departments, including staffing, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communication
  • Partner and collaborate with various business leaders on growth strategies and cost initiatives; provide HR guidance and input on decisions and execute in order to enable these strategies
  • Work with managers to build a career path for employees, identifying opportunities for training, new skill acquisition, and development
  • Help to drive change within the organization, to include adoption of new technologies, workflows, staffing models, and organization structures
  • Identify, select, develop and retain world-class talent and ensure a dynamic pipeline
  • Provide executive coaching to department leaders, offering feedback and advice on employee and organizational issues
  • Uncover, assess and propose opportunities for HR process improvements
  • Provide interpretation of HR policies, practices and procedures to employees and managers
  • Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities; act as an employee advocate; help drive various corporate and division business initiatives
  • Provide coaching to employees & managers, offering feedback and advice on issues in a proactive and compassionate manner
  • Manage complex employee relations issues including organizational and structural changes, conduct and direct investigations ensuring prosper handling, documentation and alignment with legal.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role with broad knowledge and experience in human resources
  • Project management and execution skills
  • Proven Recruitment experience
  • Coaching and consulting skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to identify problems and drive scalable solution

  • Evidence of stretch assignments that reflect superior performance in previous roles
  • Experience partnering with business leaders in a highly complex and dynamic business setting
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with senior leaders and influence through strong business acumen and excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to dive deep, attention to detail and follow-through
  • Bias for action and the ability to drive outcomes via a matrixed team
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner and develop strong working relationships
  • Prior experience in e-sports/sports and/or start-up companies
  • Prior experience supporting marketing, design, sales, and/or product teams
