About your role:
As a Full Stack Engineer on Fandom's cross-functional Gamepedia product development team, you will sit side-by-side and collaborate with engineering, product, and other team members on a daily basis. This team is responsible for building, maintaining, and advancing our Hydra Wiki Platform which hosts all wikis on Gamepedia. This platform powers nearly 2,000 gaming communities including Official wikis for Minecraft, ARK, Terraria, and Path of Exile, along with top esports wikis and projects covering other titles like PUBG, Dota 2, World of Warcraft, and many many more. As a Full Stack Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, designing, coding, and debugging the Hydra platform that spans a diverse range of web-based technology with an emphasis on quality, delivery cadence, and performance
- Maintaining and building out AWS infrastructure and Terraform code
- Contributing to project coding standards and process
- Championing automation of testing and other processes
- Updating and expanding wiki-based project documentation
- Continually integrating MediaWiki framework updates and third party MediaWiki extension updates
- Contributing to various open source projects

- Coding: PHP, Golang, Javascript, Node.Js, CSS, Less/Sass, OOD, MediaWiki, Git
- Databases: MySQL, Memcached, Redis
- Infrastructure: AWS, Linux, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), NGINX, Varnish, Docker
- Networking: HTTP, TCP, DNS, Routing, etc.
