The Role

Reporting into our CEO, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a pipeline of sales and new business development activity. As the Director of Sales, you will be issued an annual sales goal and be expected to achieve success with quarterly checkpoints.

  • You have a deep list of existing contacts within sports, sponsorship, brands and marketing agencies.
  • You have a deep understanding of multi-touch attribution, sponsorship ROI, and marketing analytics
  • You have the ability and experience navigating a long sales cycle

Responsibilities

  • Develop, grow, and maintain an active sales pipeline while consistently hitting your quarterly quota
  • Full management of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing the deal, in addition to up-selling and contract renewal opportunities
  • Work with marketing/design teams to customize presentations and proposals for prospective clients
  • Work with client services to ensure all client projects and partnership details are communicated and feasible
  • We want you to sell the future of our business with a focus on growing the sports and brand verticals

Requirements

  • At least 6+ years of Business Development and closing experience
  • At least 4+ years in a client-facing role with responsibility for sales operations/support, sales or business development in technical B2B sales, ideally in sports or esports
  • A proven track record of success of consistently hitting forecasts and closing deals.
  • High energy, data-driven, well-organized, with efficient processes and structure with a can-do attitude.
  • Experience selling to Brands, Agencies or Rights Holders

Bonus Points For

  • You have experience and knowledge in data, attribution, sponsorship, sports, advertising, and SaaS technologies
  • You have experience of handling multiple concurrent client relationships with a cumulative value of at least $1M
  • You have demonstrated expertise in managing senior clients in SME client organizations
