Fabrik Games is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Environment Artist to work on an exciting AAA sci-fi/horror project. You will be working within an established team of artists and will be following direction from the Art Director and Lead Artist to create visually appealing props and environments for the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create interesting, detailed and visually appealing props and environments within an established game world
  • Work closely with other disciplines to deliver assets to a high standard
  • Take game levels from conception to final lighting and optimisation
  • Be a mentor to junior members of the Art team and assist in their development
  • A strong understanding of game optimisation techniques

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience working on published video game titles
  • An understanding of environment art pipelines and workflows
  • Expert level of 3D software experience (eg. Maya/Modo)
  • Expert level of texturing software experience (eg. Substance)
  • Experience with hard surface and organic modelling
  • Experience with modular kit workflows
  • Experience using trim sheets and decals
  • An understanding of PBR
  • Experience using current-generation game engines (eg. UE4/Unity)
  • Experience shipping games on console
  • Ability to communicate, organise and prioritise effectively
  • Ability to work in a team, within deadlines and time constraints

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience using Quixel
  • Experience using ZBrush
  • Experience with game lighting techniques
  • Knowledge of composition and visual storytelling
