Today, there are five games available for purchase: Exploding Kittens, Bears vs Babies, You’ve Got Crabs, Throw Throw Burrito, and On a Scale of One to T-Rex, as well as an Exploding Kittens mobile app that is one of the top 30 premium games on both iOS and Android.

Building on the company’s success in physical games, Exploding Kittens is actively focused on further developing its digital and direct-to-consumer presence and is seeking to hire a full-time Product Manager with demonstrated experience in successfully building, launching, and managing consumer-facing digital products within a strong consumer brand.

The Product Manager will be responsible for the product planning, marketing, and execution of multiple consumer-facing digital product initiatives, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining product vision, and working closely with senior management and business and operational teams to ensure the successful launch of products guided by the company’s overall strategic objectives and goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with members of senior management on a variety of strategic objectives driving the company, and use those discussions to create buy-in for product vision
  • Define the product strategy, roadmap, and timeline for two priority consumer-facing digital products
  • Deliver product and market requirement documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
  • Work with company business development functions and senior management to assess third-party partnerships
  • Become an expert with respect to the competitive landscape
  • Work with business development functions to propose an overall budget and potential pricing to ensure success, and develop revenue and profitability forecasts
  • Manage each product through its full product lifecycle from development to market release to post-launch management
  • Liaise with relevant departments across engineering, sales, marketing, production, distribution, and customer service, as well as third-party partners, to ensure the company’s strategic objectives are met
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding internally and externally
  • Serve as a leader within the company

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Product Manager
  • Proven track record of defining and managing successful consumer-facing digital products throughout their lifecycle
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Strong ability to identify opportunities and transform them into results
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, numerical abilities, and a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • High service orientation, hands-on mentality, and attention to detail
  • Experience and comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Significant and proven experience implementing agile planning processes and working with project management software
