Evil Geniuses (EG) is looking for a seasoned and creative Director of Global Brand Marketing who is passionate about building a global entertainment brand with millions of fans around the world. The Director of Global Brand Marketing is a new position and a key leadership position within EG’s global marketing team. You will help architect EG’s global marketing team, and participate in the development and lead the execution of the global marketing strategy. You will lead and develop a team of brand managers.

Your North star is leading the transformation of the EG brand through innovative marketing campaigns that engage and delight audiences and grow the EG fandom, driving business growth globally and accelerating our mission to bring gaming entertainment experiences to the world.

What You’ll Do:

  • Participate in building EG’s first-ever global marketing function (e.g. Communications, Social Media, Creative, Operations and more).
  • Participate in development and lead execution of global marketing strategy, with a focus on: positioning EG as a global, gaming powerhouse; promoting EG as a values-led organization; and building relationships with players, fans, game publishers, and other industry thought leaders.
  • Collaborate with Partnerships team and high-profile EG sponsors / partners on development and execution of global campaigns and marketing activations.
  • Work with EG Creative team on brand identity, narrative, creative strategy, and asset development.
  • Work closely with Director of Global Social Media & Digital Strategy to design processes, tracking and measurement tools to support a performance branding approach (e.g.
  • Forge relationships with new marketing partners (e.g. brands, industry event organizers, etc.) to develop new and unique opportunities to build the EG brand and its fandom via marketing activations and experiential events.
  • Partner closely with functional leads within the Marketing organization (e.g. Communications / PR, Social Media, Creative, Operations, etc.) to ensure strategic roadmaps are integrated and aligned.
  • Work with important internal stakeholders across other divisions of EG, including the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT), to ensure marketing strategy is aligned with and supports broader business initiatives.
  • Own marketing strategy for apparel and merchandise.
  • Develop KPIs that measure the performance of content, campaign activities, and fandom growth.
  • Participate in development of annual marketing budget and own management throughout the year with an eye on maximizing value.
  • Set clear goals and measurements of success for your team.
  • Provide team leadership and mentorship that enables and inspires junior members to grow.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional marketing experience at a global consumer brand (entertainment, media, music, lifestyle, eSports, gaming, etc.), including developing and overseeing execution of marketing strategy
  • A minimum of 7 years people management experience
  • Exceptional people and project management skills
  • Experience establishing marketing organizational structure, defining roles, and managing headcount
  • Track record of using data and insights to drive marketing strategy
  • Experience working with Social Media / Digital Strategy team to design processes, tracking and measurement tools to support a performance branding approach
  • Experience managing outside agencies and vendors
  • Breadth of creative ideas and experience working effectively with creative teams
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to produce decks and internal and external presentations that are both beautifully designed and thoughtfully executed
  • Strong and consistent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Team player with the ability to project confidence, a positive attitude, good judgement, and a solutions-oriented approach under pressure
