As the Collegiate Lead, you will be responsible for building and growing EG’s collegiate programs. This is an opportunity for Evil Geniuses to make an impact on the collegiate esports space while growing awareness and education around the industry, our brand and our competitive teams. You will report to our Chief Culture Officer and will own the strategy, planning, goal setting, budget, infrastructure of the programs, and leadership of the teams and ultimately be responsible for the growth and success of our collegiate programs.

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the Director of Gaming, Chief Culture Officer and Chief Innovation Officer set the strategy, plan, and monetization approach for the Collegiate program
  • Recruit and lead a team of collegiate interns for our Genius League and Marketing Partnership programs
  • Cultivate a collegiate infrastructure and environment that’s inclusive of:
    • Trainings and education to develop the interns
    • Impactful projects and initiatives for the interns to build and execute
    • Providing the interns with the appropriate resources to be successful
  • Develop metrics and goals to assess the impact and ROI of our collegiate programs
  • Build partnerships with schools around the country who are looking to grow their esports programs
  • Work with other department leaders to incorporate our collegiate programs across the org
  • Provide updates to EG’s leadership team on the status and success of the programs
  • Extrapolate the innovative ideas and projects from the collegiate program with speed into the EG business
  • Partner with EG’s external PR firm to set the plan for Collegiate press
  • Work with the collegiate team to come up with fun, innovative, in real time ways to highlight the program on our website, social media, across the community and within EG

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience working in esports
  • Experience building collegiate esports programs
  • Has experience leading a team of 3 or more is preferred
  • Experience setting goals and building metrics
  • Excellent business judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; proven ability to think outside of the box and innovate
  • Strong communication and leadership ability
