We’re looking for a highly ambitious esports coordinator who’s passionate about curating innovative esports tournaments and competitive gameplay for the community. A successful candidate will have experience managing esports leagues and/or teams and deep knowledge of the esports and gaming industry. You are a motivated self-starter who will oversee esports efforts across a variety of communities, develop innovative tournament formats and rules and manage day-to-day league operations while ensuring competitive integrity is taken into consideration on all decisions.

  • Type: remote contract, part-time, or full-time opportunity available
  • Location: remote but if full-time must be able to relocate to Las Vegas in a post-COVID world

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Conceptualize, plan, organize, execute and manage high impact esports initiatives, leagues and tournaments for company-owned and client initiatives
  • Work with senior management on the day-to-day operations of various leagues including leading weekly meetings, tracking project milestones, and monitoring risks and opportunities
  • Possess ability to quickly review and study a game title’s community, competitive ecosystem, popular formats and rulesets.
  • Manage the relationship and communication, while acting as a central point of contact, between external partners and internal teams, tournament organizers and communities to develop and maintain tournament objectives, goals, timelines, and deliverables
  • Write and disseminate the ruleset of competitive play including managing match disputes, tracking and enforcing player rosters, and managing player documentation for company-owned and client tournaments
  • Develop tournament formats and administration workflows, including the sourcing and hiring of talent and tournament admins
  • Work with legal teams to create and disseminate participation agreements, team contracts, and other critical documents
  • Work with senior management to determine the schedule of play, including match schedules, along with prize pool breakdown and distribution
  • Uphold the integrity of competitive gameplay and ensure the competitors are adhering to the rules and the competition is running according to plan and schedule
  • Provide input during in-house and client meetings to advise on competitive tournament structure, bracket implementation, player rosters, and more along with cost-saving solutions based on goals and initiatives, global trends and company positioning
  • Work cross-functionally internally across production, PR, marketing, business development, and operations to ensure information is kept up-to-date
  • Provide on-site support to internal and external teams during live events, including the management of professional players, teams, and talent

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 2-years of experience in the esports community, league management, or organized play required
  • Must be fluent in a variety of esports titles, gaming, and internet culture
  • Deep understanding of event management and tournament operations
  • Impeccable organizational, communication and time-management skills
  • Must be proactive and a self-starter with the ability to think outside the box and push creative initiatives and ideas
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while exemplifying strong organizational, creative, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize deliverables, managing multiple league and tournament at a time, with the flexibility to adjust to fluctuating deadlines while meeting and exceeding goals
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to the goals of the team and within budget
  • Ability to travel to events locally and domestically
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
