Job Description

Join the esports team within Esportz Entertainment Corp. In this role, you will develop a global social media strategy for Esportz Network in esports and will work closely with the team to drive growth in followers and engagement. This position's hours are flexible and may require some work on weekends.

Weโ€™re seeking someone with proven experience in a marketing role, creating content, managing social channels for well-known gaming, esports, or technology companies and who also has proven experience in building and growing gaming communities. Someone who is passionate about gaming, devices, titles, esports, social media, online communities, and connecting digital content to the overall brand and marketing strategy.

Note: If asked to proceed in the hiring process, you might be asked to submit social media/graphic designs so please ensure you have some form of graphic design software prepared.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Create and manage an integrated editorial calendar, publish content that strengthens the company's positioning, builds our community and engages fans and customers
  • Engage with key partners and influencers, work closely with marketing team members to develop social content that aligns with audience interests, is differentiated and exclusive to Esportz channels.
  • Build and manage frameworks for ongoing listening, monitoring of social media conversations and trends, analyze and communicate recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and country marketing leads to develop and manage campaigns, events, and other initiatives.
  • Direct and engage in social media conversations in accordance with corporate messaging and branding guidelines.
  • Stay abreast of current social trends, marketing techniques, industry standards, and tech innovations to ensure effective content that achieves the team's goals.
  • Use spreadsheets or company systems to capture and document social media growth.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant marketing experience or 3 years of social media experience. A mix of both years of experience in the gaming/esports industry is also acceptable.
  • At least 2 years of graphic design experience with Photoshop or related software.
  • At least 2 years of video editing experience with Premiere or related software.
  • Experience in social media tools, platforms, and best practices including strong working knowledge of social media publishing and monitoring tools.
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts with 10K+ followers.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, Reddit, etc. and how each platform is used in different scenarios.
  • Understands trending industry topics and how best to engage in social conversations on behalf of Esportz and its divisions.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • MBA in Business, Marketing, Communications or related discipline
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant marketing experience or 4 years of social media experience. A mix of both years of experience in the gaming/esports industry is also acceptable.
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts with 50K+ followers.
  • At least 3 years of video editing experience with Premiere or related software
  • Experience in creating plans and communications for use in effectively influencing senior stakeholders.
