Esports Media Inc is a media company focused on esports and telling our communities stories. We have a variety of unique digital assets as the core infrastructure of our platform. (esports.gg, and the social handle @esports on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook). Team is compromised of industry leading professionals, content creators, and pro players.

What We Need

Someone who is a true social content strategist + planner at heart, whose primary skill set is in social media, has fundamental knowledge of social strategy development, has a creative mind and eye, and understands the ins and out of using all platforms including Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, Steam, and first party community hubs. This individual should have extensive experience in social media content conceptualization, strategy, and planning plus be familiar with social strategy development. This person must be creative, can conceptualize content from the ground up, and form cadences that story tell. This person must be able to see content plans through conceptualization to execution in a quality manner. This person must be a skilled copy writer and can maintain a consistent voice across platforms. This person must have an eye for quality assets plus fundamental experience with asset production and Adobe creative suite. This person must also be passionate about games and esports. We appreciate quality memes.

What You Will Do

  • Execute the social media strategy and collaborate on its development
  • Lead short, medium, and long term esports content conceptualization and planning that’s informed by the social strategy. This includes seeing content plans through conceptualization to execution, developing cadences, copywriting, asset coordination, and postings
  • Interface with internal departments to facilitate further social media content plays. This includes working with legal, influencer, brand, PR, talent relations, sales, partnerships, creative services, and other teams
  • Coordinate and execute paid media campaigns
  • Compile KPI reports and make adjustments to content planning as needed
  • Build global social media strategies, execute Global plans, and maintain consistent communication with influencers
  • Report to the chief editor. Work closely with the team to assist with day to day content planning execution

They should be passionate about the game, know it well, and have a hunger to learn more. This individual should have a comprehensive understanding of gaming and esports culture to excel in this role. It’s important that this individual is an excellent executor and can see plans through start to finish. This person must pay extreme attention to detail, is thorough, and quality oriented. This person must be able to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment while still maintaining quality of work, operational efficiencies, and organization. This person should be independent and proactive in nature, but also be a true collaborator. This person must be creative, experimental, and always ideating ways to enhance our socials. This person should be adaptive and flexible in nature. They must always think about the big picture to ensure everything we do has purpose and is aligned with the overall social and brand strategy.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 5 years of social media experience, ideally within the video game industry
  • Knows how to use all social media platforms, their tools, and understands the specific nuances within each platform
  • Talented content strategist, conceptualizer, planner, cadence builder, and have copywriting skills
  • Strong knowledge of esports teams and influencers
  • Fundamental knowledge of social strategy development
  • Fundamental knowledge of paid media campaigns
  • Strong knowledge of asset dimension sizes and the nuances of how they display on platforms
  • Fundamental knowledge of video and static asset production plus Adobe creative suite
  • Must possess intangible skill sets including: attention to detail, can see plans through from start to finish, is quality oriented, can manage competing priorities, is efficient, organized, proactive, independent, collaborative, diplomatic, an excellent communicator, and is hungry to learn
  • Makes decisions that positively impact short term and long term #BigPicture goals
  • Strong knowledge of growth hacking techniques
  • Strong knowledge of video game culture
  • Experience with social media tracking and listening tools is a plus
  • Experience with statistical analysis and KPIs is a plus
  • Video and broadcast production background is a plus
