Overview
We are looking for a qualified community manager to join our team. If you are a tech-savvy professional, experienced in social media, PR and promotional events, we would like to meet you. Our ideal candidate has exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to moderate online and offline conversations with our community. The candidate should be able to act as the voice of our brand and manage all community communications, while growing that community through outreach programs in partnership with our communications team. We are looking for a professional community manager who can reach out to esports and gaming communities and make them aware of our offerings as well as produce events and campaigns that support and engage those communities.
This person would be joining the North American EGL Communications Team to support the creation and growth of esports and gaming initiatives across the entire EEG organization. This team would join the EEG Games team and answer to the VP Esports Operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Set and implement communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies
- Provide, produce, and create engaging text, image, and video content for social media accounts surrounding the community outreach programs
- Respond to comments and community quieres in a timely manner across all owned content accounts
- Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews
- Organize and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness
- Coordinate with communications team to ensure brand consistency
- Liaise with Business Development and Software Development teams to stay updated and pitch new products and features
- Build and maintain relationships with online gaming communities
- Build and maintain professional relationships with industry professionals and journalists
Key Requirements
- Proven work experience as a community manager in the esports or video game industry
- Experience launching community initiatives; online forums, ambassador programs, live community events, newsletters and large community communication
- Ability to identify and track relevant esports and gaming community metrics
- Professional verbal communication, project management, and writing skills
- Demonstrable experience with community management for brands
- Ability to interpret traffic and engagement metrics and build informational reports for management
- Ability to multitask and manage time with multiple stakeholders and deadlines
