WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • This role will be responsible for providing technical and equipment expertise to the Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Account Managers as required. The individual will be required to assist in the configuration of equipment, services, and systems capable of delivering projects to the robust standards expected by NGE and our clients.
  • The ability to convey technical information and suggest well thought out technical solutions to problems are paramount to the role of an IT Specialist.
  • The role involves being involved in multiple projects at any given time, some of which will require your presence on site. The ability to document systems and instructions, work with full-time and project-based staff while delivering local and remote support to these systems is imperative.
  • Work with the IT Team in supporting our NGE Office’s and their employees from a technical and equipment point of view.
  • Using your knowledge and strong interpersonal skills to suggest and guide other teams towards the best technical solution for any given opportunity.
  • Helping design and implement suitable temporary solutions for deployed systems.
  • Ensure equipment leaving the office is configured and tested, ready for use onsite.
  • Assist the Project Engineers and Project Managers by setting up and administering technical equipment and network infrastructure for live streamed events.
  • Configure, deploy and manage network stability for streaming events.
  • Supporting the configuration, deployment and troubleshooting of equipment and systems remotely if issues arise.

WHAT WE NEED TO SEE

  • Experience: 2 or more years IT Support and minimum of 3 years experience troubleshooting and configuring different forms of technology.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Relevant Experience or a strong interest in entering the event industry.
  • Excellent understanding of technical equipment with a drive to learn new or unfamiliar systems.
  • Strong and confident communicator with positive interpersonal skills; a team player
  • Ability to work logically and systematically.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, ability to take initiative.
  • Problem solving; ability to think strategically and implement robust, stable solutions.
  • Passion for video games and interactive media
  • A track record of excelling with little supervision
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in high-stress, time sensitive environments
  • The desire for a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
