Job Status: Full-Time

Location: Burbank, CA or Columbus, OH (negotiable)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Growing at a quick pace, we are focused on maintaining and improving the security and accessibility of Esports Engine data. The Core Security Specialist will be the internal subject matter expert (SME) on all domestic and international data regulations and client / vendor compliance requirements. They will help lead the Company’s efforts around cyber security and manage full life cycle data compliance and protection. This position will play a critical role in ensuring security and compliance for the Company as well as our external partners. Help build something great.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Manage the data life cycle for receiving, storing, sharing and purging of Esports Engine data including, if necessary, personally identifiable information (PII)
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on both domestic and international data regulations as well as client and vendor compliance requirements
  • Improve and implement new policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and security of our data as well as the systems for housing the Company’s data
  • Lead the Company’s drive towards relevant cyber certifications
  • Develop and oversee the training of Esports Engine employees in regards to cyber security including account protection, data sharing and archival workflows
  • Oversee and manage the access and sharing of sensitive information
  • Perform audits of internal and external systems to ensure compliance with different compliance regulations
  • Monitor Company performance and provide advice on data protection efforts
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

WHAT WE NEED TO SEE

  • 3+ years of experience working with company data policies and compliance requirements.
  • 3+ years of experience working in data loss prevention or similar compliance
  • In-depth understanding of domestic and international regulatory policies including: CCPA, GDPR, and LGPD
  • Proficiency with digital data depositories such as cloud storage, local storage, and email / web protocols
  • Knowledge of and experience working within Google Workspace Admin Dashboard (GSuite)
  • Ability to effectively communicate and train cross-functional teams on all aspects of data policies and compliance
  • A customer service-focused and solution-oriented mindset and approach to all work
  • Ability to work logically and systematically
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach with willingness to take initiative; often times with little supervision
  • The desire for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

PLUSES

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a relevant field of study
  • Mac and PC familiarity including: command / terminal and security
  • Experience with email, web, and server encryption
  • Passion for technology, interactive media and video games
